Dr. Ricardo Peña is the director of the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Pharmacology at Universidad de los Andes. With more than 20 years of experience, he has achieved several distinctions including the International Opportunity Program Award by the APA and predoctoral fellowships in the AHA. He has lead several research projects in diverse fields aside from cardiovascular pharmacology such as health literacy, epidemiology and education research. Currently, he is an associate professor at Universidad de los Andes.
