Resumen: La Seguridad del paciente está relacionada con los dogmas, acciones, cualidades que ocupan los profesionales en su práctica, garantizando que se no ejecuten acciones inseguras e innecesarios o potenciales asociados a la atención en salud. El objetivo: Determinar el fortalecimiento de las prácticas de seguridad del paciente en una institución de salud de Santa Marta. Metodología: Cuantitativa con diseño cuasi experimental, prospectivo, analítico, longitudinal, a través de la aplicación de dos instrumentos de recolección de información. Los resultados obtenidos servirán de insumo para una posterior planificación y ejecución de actividades para el fortalecimiento de la seguridad del paciente. Description: Patient Safety is related to the dogmas, actions, qualities that professionals occupy in their practice, guaranteeing that unsafe and unnecessary or potential actions associated with health care will not be carried out. The objective: Determine the strengthening of patient safety practices in a health institution in Santa Marta. Methodology: Quantitative with a quasi-experimental, prospective, analytical, longitudinal design, through the application of two information collection instruments. The results obtained will serve as input for subsequent planning and execution of activities to strengthen patient safety.
